This is extraction, not legal verification.
Every field below is either read by a vision AI model or pattern-matched from text — never a substitute for checking the physical document yourself or confirming with the issuing office. We never extract or store CNIC/ID numbers, only whether one appears to be present. This build also has no user accounts or encryption at rest: uploaded files are kept as plain files on whatever machine runs this app, not access-controlled per user. Don't upload anything you wouldn't be comfortable being readable by anyone with access to that machine.
What actually happens with each file type
- Text-based PDFs (most digitally issued documents) — read directly, works with no setup.
- Scanned PDFs / photos (JPG, PNG, WEBP) — read by a vision AI model, which requires the app operator to have configured an
ANTHROPIC_API_KEY. If that's not set, we'll say so plainly rather than pretending to read the image.
